J. Ekwenzi Gray, Ph. D.
J. Ekwenzi Gray
Dr. J. Ekwenzi Gray has experience working with adolescents and adults as individuals, in couples, and in group settings.
His training has provided him with experience in dealing with issues ranging from adjustment difficulties to more
serious mental illnesses. He has a particular interest in working with men struggling with depression and suicide,
sexual identity issues, and in the relationship between spirituality and mental health.
Dr. Gray earned his Ph.D. from the Clinical Psychology Program at Howard University.
He completed his APA-accredited internship at Howard University Hospital in 2003. Dr. Gray began his training
in psychology at Pacific Union College in California where he earned his baccalaureate degree,
before coming to Washington, DC where he earned both his Master's and Doctoral degrees at Howard University.
Dr. Gray works for the DC-Baltimore Research Center on Child Health Disparities as a
Senior Research Associate/Data Analyst.
